Santa Barbara Engagement Photographer

Enduring love always seems to return to its beginning, like a boat finding the harbor.  As a Santa Barbara Engagement Photographer, I could not have been more thrilled when Miska and Randal reached out to me to photograph their engagement session at the Santa Barbara Sailing Club.  After five years of traveling the globe, surfing and sailing together, this sweet couple wanted to return to their love story’s beginning.   Miska caught Randal’s eye in a biology class at UC Santa Barbara.  With a shared love for a majestic sunrise and the peace and power of the ocean, a sailing session was the only way to go.

All about the Santa Barbara Engagement Photographer’s session

So, we met for their morning Santa Barbara engagement photography session on the water.

With all of the rain California has received, the central coast was lush and green.  While Mother Earth loves the moisture, it made planning for this session rather tricky.  Stormy weather was forecast.  We only hoped that the skies would allow us to proceed with Miska and Randal’s Santa Barbara engagement photography session as planned.  Thankfully, we had clear skies and smooth sailing just long enough to capture these stunning, sun soaked images.  As a Santa Barbara Engagement Photographer, I love the moments when the sun and the ocean work together to provide an inspiring backdrop for my couples to enjoy.

We spent a serene few hours sailing with Santa Barbara Sailing.  Miska and Randal reminisced and relived some of the moments and memories that brought them together. We finished the session and just as I started my car to head home, the rain drops began to fall.  With this Santa Barbara engagement photography session recorded, I was grateful for the picturesque (and timely) weather, Miska and Randal and most of all the circle of love that brings us back to our beginnings and each other.
