Recently, I had the privilege of photographing Kelly and Andrew’s big day. This beautiful couple was sealed in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple and held a beautiful reception afterwards. If I could think of one word to describe the day it would be joyful. Kelly was an amazing bride. Her bright personality was present in every detail of the day. Kelly and Andrew were introduced by a mutual friend who met Andrew while he was serving his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints mission in Liberia. This sweet couple courted and fell in love while living multiple states apart. After more than a year of waiting they will finally be together. The joy and love shared between family and friends outside of the temple grounds was so special to see.
Andrew and Kelly decided to have a sunset session outside of the Temple the evening before their ceremony to allow for photos at this special location in the beautiful light and to ensure that they had plenty of time with family and friends on their memorable day. This was especially fitting because Kelly’s wedding colors were inspired by the sunset. This beautiful collage of colors is demonstrated in her bouquet and cake. Despite the strong New Mexico spring winds the session was filled with laughter and affection.
As a photographer one of the things I enjoy most are the the beautiful and intricate details that weddings offer. This wedding was full of unique elements that were made with talent and love by family and friends. Kelly’s younger sister baked and decorated the beautiful cake and the flowers were arranged by friends. It was such an honor to be chosen as the wedding photographer for this beautiful day.
Kelly and Andrew, working with you over the course of the last six months has been such a pleasure. Your kindness and love for one another shows in each of your interactions. Spending time with you both and capturing your wedding day was truly an honor. Thank you for sharing your happiness with me!
