I am Rachel

As an Albuquerque wedding photographer, it is my blessing to get to know wonderful people at a beautiful moment in their lives.  In fact I am privileged to participate in weddings all over the Southwest.  I don’t even know where to begin with this incredible wedding! Janelle and Julius’ Pagosa springs wedding was filled with magic. The warm summer sun shined down on the mountains as the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Surrounded by family and friends the moment could not have been more perfect.

As I listened to the toasts given during the beautiful tent reception I was so impressed by the friends Janelle and Juluis had developed over a life time.  I was especially touched that Janelle’s friends were instantly accepted by Juluis and Julius’s friends accepted by Janelle.  It was as though I was at a family reunion even though many of those present were meeting for the first time. With every word that was spoken it was so clear the way family and friends were committed to supporting and loving the new couple.

In my interactions with Janelle and Julius I could absolutely see why they were surrounded by family and friends who admired them so much. You could not find two more kind, compassionate, and fun loving people.

This sweet Colorado wedding day was filled with tender and personal details. For example, Janelle wore her Mother’s wedding dress for the ceremony and her Mother-in-laws wedding dress for the reception.  What a touching tribute to two women who had an obvious and profound influence on Janelle and Julius.  I have never seen a bride rock two vintage wedding dresses honoring both sides of the family.  Janelle also used her talent to paint a beautiful mountain scene that was used in the wedding invitations as well as decor around the reception.

I have a difficult time expressing my thoughts and feelings as I play a small part around the southwest wedding scene.  Perhaps that is why I became a wedding photographer.  A picture really is worth a thousand words.

Janelle and Julius thank you for letting me be a part of this lifetime event.  I will never forget the beautiful green trees, the mountains and of course the amazing people that made your wedding such a special moment in time.
